Liquor Tax Distribution March 16; Deadline to Submit Applications Feb. 27 - Published 1-26-2026

The City of El Dorado receives liquor tax funds designated for the establishment and operation of local domestic violence programs. Each year, the City Commission allocates these funds to qualifying not-for-profit organizations.

Organizations wishing to be considered for funding must submit a letter of application no later than Friday, February 27, 2026, to Emerald Ashlock, City Clerk, 220 E. First Avenue, El Dorado, Kansas. The application should include a brief description of the proposed program and the total amount of funding requested. Organizations that received funding in 2025 must also provide an accounting of how those funds were used for the City’s review.

The City Commission is expected to determine the allocation of these funds at the March 16, 2026, City Commission Meeting. Applicants are encouraged to attend this meeting to answer any questions regarding their proposal.
