[ARCHIVED] Towanda Avenue traffic to shift for sanitary sewer project

Towanda Avenue

Beginning Thursday, Jan. 30, Towanda Avenue will experience a lane drop between Arthur Street and Charron Drive on the southside of Towanda to accommodate work on the Constant Creek Sanitary Sewer Project. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be shifted to the north side of Towanda Avenue during this construction phase. The lane reduction is expected to last approximately one month.

The Constant Creek Sanitary Sewer Project is designed to increase the capacity and efficiency of the city's wastewater collection system. The project will support future development by replacing and upgrading the sewer lines and reducing the risk of overflows during peak usage or heavy rainfall.

Future Road Closure Notice
As construction progresses, Towanda Avenue will require a full closure in this area to facilitate stages of the project. A detour route will be clearly marked, and further updates will be provided well in advance to minimize inconvenience.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we complete this essential project.
