The 2024 Reclamite Street Project will be completed Aug. 12 through 15. During the project, no parking will be allowed on the streets being sealed. Please move any vehicles before 7:50 a.m. People also should not operate their lawn sprinklers the night before or day of treatment.
Monday, Aug. 12 streets include: Simpson, Marmaton, Kansas from Topeka to High, Warren Road, Rice Drive, Taylor from Central to Fifth, and Atchison from Third to Sixth.
Tuesday, Aug. 13 streets include: Fifth Avenue from School to Hunton, Second Avenue from Atchison to Taylor, Bel Air, Random Road from Main to Lawndale, and Towanda from Reveille Lane to Taylor.
Wednesday, Aug. 14 streets include: Hunton, Denver from Central to Fifth, and Topeka from Towanda to Carr.
Thursday, Aug. 15 streets include: First Avenue from Topeka to Taylor.
During the project, liquid asphalt will be added to your street, weather permitting. Rain and excessive wind could postpone the sealing. Delay dates are Aug. 15, 16, 19, 20 and 21.
Traffic will not be kept from your street for more than eight to nine hours, but typically the street will be open one to two hours after application. If you must drive on the street, please drive slowly and watch for signage, workers and equipment. Liquid sealer is clear and may be slick to dive on. Please keep children and pets away from the street.
