Beginning Monday, March 24, the outside eastbound lane of Central Avenue (K-254) will be temporarily closed for approximately three weeks to allow for the replacement of a sanitary sewer line as part of the Constant Creek Sanitary Sewer Project. The lane closure will begin approximately 800 feet east of the intersection of Central Avenue and Haverhill Road and will extend for approximately 700 feet. One eastbound lane will remain open to traffic, and access to all businesses will be maintained. However, there may be times when sidewalk closures are necessary to ensure safety.
The Constant Creek Sanitary Sewer Project is part of the City of El Dorado’s ongoing efforts to upgrade aging infrastructure and improve the reliability of essential utilities. This project will help maintain efficient wastewater services and reduce the risk of system failures in the future.
Drivers are asked to use caution while traveling through the work zone. Please slow down, stay alert and follow all posted traffic control signs to ensure the safety of both workers and motorists. The City of El Dorado appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we complete this important infrastructure improvement.
