Accurate GPS collection and GIS mapping offers complete utility asset management solutions. By developing a comprehensive GIS program for El Dorado for use in maintaining and managing the city’s utility infrastructure assets we better prepare ourselves for future infrastructure projects and operational tools for more efficient utility maintenance. The City has contracted SAM, LLC to collect and integrate field data into GIS mapping to show network connectivity and an overview of the city’s infrastructure.
